I’m not safe/I don’t feel safe

If you don’t feel safe at home, it is important to tell someone. You can ring the local duty office, Monday to Friday during office hours on 0161 342 4101 or Monday to Friday outside office hours and weekends and public holidays on 0161 342 2222.  Alternatively, you can call NSPCC on 0808 800 5000.

This may include:

  • I look after someone in my family
  • I do not get on with my parents
  • I can’t tell my parents about my problems
  • I’m worried about someone in my life
  • There are lots of arguments at home
  • I’m not safe/I don’t feel safe
  • I have lost someone important to me
  • I’m having trouble sleeping

I am looking after someone in my family

Young Carers are people under the age of 18, who look after someone who is unwell or disabled. Usually the person they care for is a member of their family. As a Carer you may help with:

  • Doing the housework
  • Doing the shopping
  • Interpreting
  • Keeping an eye on someone
  • Washing or dressing
